    Hi All,
Toh bahut din baad socha 1 pending blog daal du.
    Diwali pe Indore jaa ehsaas hua ”तेरा मिलना ऐसा होता है माँ , जैसे कोई हथेली पे एक वक़्त की रोज़ी रख देता है ! ”.

Abb Topic pe aate hai > TENSION ! aka Apostille .

    What is Apostille ?
Apostille is done for personal documents like birth/death/marriage certificates, Affidavits, Power of Attorney, etc. and educational documents like degree, diploma, matriculation and secondary level certificates etc. As India is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, 1961, no further attestation or legalization of a document apostilled by a member country, should be required for using such apostilled document in India. An apostilled document should, therefore, be treated as legalized document for all purposes in India by all concerned, in accordance with the international obligation under the Convention.

WHY IT IS REQUIRED IN NETHERLANDS ?

    • Simply, Documents in India should be legalize so that it can be used in the Netherlands same as it is used in India.
    • Mostly, this is required for below purposes in Netherlands :
      • Birth Certificate
      • Death
      • Name
      • Marriage, including capacity to marry and marital status
      • Divorce
      • Legal separation or marriage annulment
      • Registered partnership, including capacity to enter into a registered partnership and registered partnership status
      • Dissolution of a registered partnership, legal separation or annulment of a registered partnership
      • Parenthood
      • Adoption
      • Domicile and/or residence
      • Nationality
      • Absence of a criminal record and the right to vote and stand as a candidate in municipal elections and elections to the European Parliament.
    • Since the majority of these documents are issued in your state or in the local tongue, they occasionally need to be legalized in order for them to be recognized as official documents outside of India, albeit the Dutch government or ministry may still approve or disapprove them.
    • But, In General for our NEW Janta and Existing one, recently some of Gemmente has started to ask for Birth Certificate ( Mandatory ) to be submitted during Registration and Getting BSN, some of them still has this optional but specially required when you are Married.
    • The aforementioned certifications can be used for a variety of other purposes, depending on who needs to show them to the government, IND, Gemmente (the municipality), etc.

    PROCESS to be Followed :
    • Pehle Important Points me matha phood lete hai :
      • Your document must be in English. If it is not, you must apostille two documents: one in the local tongue and the other in English translation. Keep in mind that only approved translators will be able to apostille the translated version.) For instance, if your birth certificate is in Hindi, it will be translated, attested, and then attested in English as well.)
      • Laminate karke samjhdar naa bane, therefore no Lamination should be done when presenting it to Gemmente or NL Government.
      • Your original document will be apostilled, so make sure to scan and preserve a duplicate. If the document is damaged, there may be issues with attestation.
      • There are many local, famous and different vendors who gives this service in India so its based on personal choice bus 200-300 ke piche saste ke chkkar me don’t choose someone. Mana 30% Ruling jaane wala hai but dil chota nahi karte.
    • To give back ground :
      • I was looking to apostille my hard copy Hindi birth certificate (who pink paper 30 saal purana).
      • I used PEC service ( Its in All over India ) so sab kar sakte hai or other vendor might have similar process too.

Step by Step Process of Apostille :
    • • First, contact PEC Attestation by phone or email, request a quote, and state your needs.Email : apostille@pecattestation.com
      • Call : 020-48508000 / 9404450674
      • Website : www.pecattestation.com
      • Reference : Pranjali ( Apna isne hi kiya hai ) She is very helpful and knowledgeable agar man kare toh daal dena dono ka naam 😊 .
    • They will provide you with a detailed quote. I selected PEC because they offer FREE home documentation pickup and FREE delivery to your address using both TATKAL and NORMAL processes. They can also send your documents directly to the Netherlands, but I believe the cost is fixed at 3600 INR+-.
    • If it's possible to convert or obtain your birth certificate online (for example, I had to visit the municipality, but they were able to do so using my hard copy, Adhaar card, and passport), I was able to view my birth certificate online in both Hindi and English.
      • Because of this I just need to email them my soft copy of Birth certificate and req document and ALL SET.
      • If you don’t have it then you can simply ask PEC to use local language document and use Translation Service in English and apostille it too.
    • Your document will be apostilled with below :
      • Delhi Notary
      • SDM (Sub Divisional magistrate) Stamp
      • MEA (Ministry of External Affairs) Stamp
      • Apostille Sticker
    • If you have soft copy of your document like Marriage certificate, Birth Certificate etc etc you can simply email them they will take print out and do apostille and they will send it you.
    • Charges : Usually they charge 2500 INR for Normal and Express 3500 INR per document
      • Example : If you have English document you just need to do 1 apostille and if you have translated then it will be ( Hindi/Local Language + English Translation )
